AIMS of PAIPAMTThe main objective of Paipamt is to help the poor and very needy. It would strive to be the helping hand, always available. Its wish is to become a giant hand to hold many tiny ones. Our good Lord Almighty has created the universe with diversities. Among the rich are the many, many poor ones. Can anyone imagine and understand the plight of the very poor, who try to close their eyes in distress while the stomach is completely empty and do not allow a bit of rest. There are lots of these poor people around the world who are barely surviving under miserable conditions. Can their lot be changed? Paipamt thinks it should be possible and wishes to seek the solution to the problems of the poor. It would strive to initiate and maintain a modest program within its means to mitigate the pains of the poor. PROGRAMSThe following will constitute the various programs under the direct sponsorship of Paipamt: 1 Help the poor old couples financially and in other ways. A modest financial support of Rs. 500 per month per such identified couple will be given. Other support could include free medical check-up and medicines. 2 Organize and shelter destitute elderly people and little orphans in an Ashram-type place. To this end, an ashram is to be built shortly at the same place where the couple, in whose memory the Trust is named, lived part of their lives. 3 Provide instructions and instruments for generating self-support for those sheltered in the ashram. A small-scale cottage industry will be operated involving the residents of the ashram. The aim is to generate enough funds for supporting the daily needs of the ashram and its residents. 4 Provide scholarship for the education of children from very poor families and enable them to develop into pillars of the society. 5 Provide spiritual training. There is no virtue without moral values. The latter is gained easily by religious training and God realization. Paipamt would constantly strive and emphasize spiritual training and God realization through meditation and prayers. Several programs of discourses and discussions will be organized to educate and energize the young and old on the spiritual values embedded in the culture of India. 6 Translate various religious works from Sanskrit into several other languages of the world and disseminate the well documented, virtuous values among the people of the region and all over the world. This can also be undertaken in association with other religious agencies, as appropriate. 7 Organize periodic smart religious festivals. A periodic religious festival termed “Saptha Praakaara PradhakshiNa Festival (SPPF)” has been organized once every seven years in the holy town of Srirangam in Tamilnadu, India. This festival is to glorify God in the form of Ranganaatha (NaaraayaNa) and the streets and the temple in the very old temple city of Srirangam. Paipamt will continue to organize and run this festival once in seven years, in 2008 (4th), 2015 (5th), and so on. Activities pertaining to SPPF are contained in another separate site. | ||
