ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN SO FAR

1 A few elderly people have been given financial support so far.

2 Scholarships to high school and college level students are being provided for the past ten years. Started with two students at the outset, the program now has ten students under support. The students who are front-runners in their classes are from very poor families.

3 Support is provided to two teachers who educate the children with prayers and chants.

4 Financial support has been provided to religious institutions and temples for various religious activities. For example, funds have been donated to Thirumala Temple Annadhaanam Trust in Thiruppathi, Navajeevan Trust for the benefit of the Blind, Temple renovation funds in Kaanchiipuram and other places, etc.

5 Pamphlets and booklets with religious prayers, translated from Sanskrit into Tamil, have been made and distributed several times.

6 Three SPPF festivals have been organized already during December 1987, 1994 and 2001.

NEEDS

Paipamt is poised to start construction of the ashram for sheltering the orphans. The associated programs are to be started concurrently or soon thereafter. Good bit of help of all kinds is needed to accomplish this task.

A vast program, as outlined above, can encompass many spirited individuals and volunteers. Excitement in helping the poor and needy is what we need from those who sympathize with our objectives. Enormous funds are needed to organize the programs efficiently for the benefit of all. We invite those who are in a position to share their fortunes with the poor and needy, but cannot find time or energy to do so themselves, to join hands with us and render service and solace in-cognito. Let your hand be one of Paipamt’s hands and be part of its giant palm. Any financial support provided will be sincerely appreciated and put to 100% use to upgrade the activities of Paipamt. Every bit of financial support provided will be included in a roster of supporters. Also, financial support of the order of Rs. 10,000 and above will be acknowledged in a special Roster of Supporters to be installed in the ashram wall. The names of those who offer Rs. 100,000 and above will be permanently inscribed in the rooms of the residents. Each room in the Ashram will be endowed with a name plate bearing the names of the donors. Such donors would have the privilege of visiting and staying at the ashram guest quarters free of charge, maximum for one week. NRI and foreign donors are especially welcome as guests.
